Billing Software for Sweet Shops and Bakeries
Sweet shops and bakeries. This is the same billing and stock system I build for shops, not a separate sweet-shop product. What a mithai or bakery counter needs most, billing by weight and watching shelf life, gets built to order as part of setting it up for you. A counter that sells fixed-price packed boxes can likely start on what is ready today. A counter weighing mithai or bakery items by the kilo will need the built-to-order part first.
What makes this trade different
- Mithai and bakery items are usually sold by weight, not by a fixed price per piece.
- Fresh stock has a short shelf life, and yesterday's tray needs to be noticed before it is sold as today's.
- Festival season swings volume hard, and the counter needs to stay fast through the rush.
- A packed gift box is a fixed-price item while the same sweet loose is sold by weight, at the same counter.
- Cash, UPI and card all need to tally cleanly at close.
Ready today
- Billing for packed items. Scan a barcode or type the item code for packed boxes and fixed-price items, take payment, and print.
- Barcode tags. Price tags print with MRP and any offer already on them, for packed boxes and gift items.
- GST invoices. Tax invoices with HSN codes, printed on A5 or A4, set up with your business and bank details.
- The day's cash, right at close. A day book of cash in and out, with sales and payments agreeing with the drawer count.
Built for your sweet shops and bakeries
These do not exist yet. They are built around how your business runs, as part of setting the system up.
- Weighing-scale billing. I connect an electronic weighing scale at the counter so mithai and bakery items sold loose bill by actual weight, at the counter, for the same bill as a packed box.
- Batch and shelf-life tracking. I set up a make date and shelf life on fresh stock, with a list of trays nearing the end of their shelf life so they get moved, discounted or written off on purpose instead of by accident.
What it doesn't do
- Nothing here weighs anything or tracks shelf life today. Both are work I do as part of setting up a counter that sells loose or fresh-made items, not ready features on day one.
- Billing needs an internet connection. There is no offline billing today; a phone hotspot is enough to carry on.
- The billing counter is made for an iPad or a computer.
Questions
Can it bill mithai or bakery items sold by weight?
Not out of the box today. I connect an electronic weighing scale to the counter as part of setting up your shop, so loose items bill by actual weight.
Does it track how fresh stock is?
Not as a ready feature. Batch and shelf-life tracking is built as part of setup, with a list of trays nearing the end of their shelf life.
Can it bill packed boxes and gift items today?
Yes. Barcode billing, GST invoices and the day book all work today for fixed-price packed items.
Who helps when something breaks?
I do. You message me, I look at it, and I fix it. I don't disappear after deploy.
